Position Profile: Event Sales Manager

Department: Arrowhead Events

Reports to:  Director of Event Sales

Supervises: N/A

Status: Full -Time, Non-Exempt

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Event Sales Manager is responsible for generating and closing event business across GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium’s portfolio of event spaces. This role manages the full sales cycle and carries an individual booking and revenue goal supported by a commission-based compensation structure.

 

This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality or event sales professional looking to grow within a premier venue environment while competing with hotel, catering, and group sales manager roles in the Kansas City market.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new and repeat event revenue through proactive prospecting and relationship management
  • Own the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, site tours, proposals, contracting, and post-event follow-up
  • Meet or exceed individual booking and revenue goals
  • Build long-term relationships with corporate planners, agencies, promoters, and community partners
  • Conduct customized stadium tours tailored to client needs
  • Collaborate with food & beverage partners, operations, and event execution teams
  • Maintain accurate client records, contracts, and forecasts using event management/CRM software
  • Participate in networking events and sales initiatives to grow market presence

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in event sales, hospitality sales, hotel sales, catering sales, or venue sales preferred
  • Proven success carrying and achieving individual sales or revenue goals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Ungerboeck or similar CRM platforms preferred
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and event days as required
  • Reliable transportation required

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Combination of office work, stadium tours, and on-site event support
  • Extensive walking and standing during events
  • Exposure to varying weather condition

 

HOURS REQUIRED:

  • Forty hours per week, primarily between 8:30 am – 5:00 PM; Monday – Friday.
  • May be required to work home games.
  • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.
