JOB SUMMARY: The Business Development Sales Associate is responsible for generating new ticket revenue through the sale of full season ticket packages, group tickets, premium hospitality offerings, and special event tickets. This position will utilize data-driven sales strategies, relationship-building skills, and outbound prospecting efforts to engage high-propensity leads and drive revenue growth.
This role is designed for self-motivated individuals looking to launch or advance a career in sports sales while gaining hands-on experience in prospecting, customer relationship management, ticket sales, and event operations within the Chiefs Business Development Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate ticket revenue through the sale of full season ticket plans, group tickets, premium hospitality offerings, and special event tickets.
- Execute daily outbound sales activities (phone calls, texts and emails) and other prospecting efforts, to achieve individual and department sales goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective customers, Season Ticket Members, and existing clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all ticketing systems, CRM platforms, and sales software utilized by the organization.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect and customer interactions within designated systems.
- Participate in sales training, coaching sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide on-site ticketing and customer service support for home games, special events, and Season Ticket Member events as needed.
- Collaborate with various departments within the organization to enhance the customer experience and support organizational initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Candidates must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, establish trust, and effectively communicate with a diverse range of customers and prospects.

- Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional experiences for both prospective and existing clients.
- Ability to accept feedback, apply coaching, and continuously improve performance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records within CRM and ticketing systems.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Ticketmaster Archtics, or similar CRM/ticketing platforms is preferred.
- Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, fundraising, retail, or relationship-building experience is a plus.

HOURS REQUIRED:
- 40 hours per week
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light office duties and activities.
- Standing outside for hours at stadium gates in all different weather to help with mobile assistance.
