Title: Strength and Conditioning Assistant

Department: Football Operations

Reports To: Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Summary: The Strength and Conditioning Assistant will be a seasonal role, which is responsible for delivering excellent training and physical preparation for the Edmonton Elks Players.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and implementation of all aspects of sports performance. These include Speed, Strength, Power, Change of Direction and Recovery programs.
Assist in testing and evaluation of athletes and data.
Assist in return to play in conjunction with the athletic therapists.
Assist in supervision of intern strength and conditioning personnel.
Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and conditioning areas.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree.
Must hold a CSCS certification.
1+ years’ full-time experience in a university or professional role.

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience as a Strength and Conditioning intern or coach with a professional sports team is an asset.
Previous experience with different sports technologies.
