Agency/Organization Description: 
Responsible for helping to fulfill the department’s mission of “Creating lifelong fans one WOW at a time.” The Community Partnerships Coordinator will contribute to the overall development and implementation of the Community Partnerships strategic plan and participate in developing a community profile for the club in the general market that will support our sales efforts.  
 
Term Length: 
March 16th – December 31st, 2026 (with the possibility of extension to fulltime) 
 
Job Description: 
The Community Coordinator position includes but is not limited to:  
  • Schedule schools for school program visits commencing in the new year  
  • Facilitating school presentations delivered by our players (Be More than a Bystander, Energy Champions, Team Up to End Racism and Lions Pride) includes coordinating details with the schools, preparing presentations, transportation of players, set-up and implementation  
  • Assisting in program development and player training  
  • Assist in game day tasks (May 23rd (Langford), June 27th (Kelowna), July 4th (Kelowna), July 25th, August 8th, August 23rd, September 12th, September 25th, October 9th, October 23rd). Attendance on these days is mandatory. 
  • Assist with partnership fulfillment – including communications with partners, preparing year end reports & tracking earned media 
  • Assist in sourcing and developing partnerships with other organizations for our community programs  
  • Assist with implementation of Amateur football programs - Punt, Pass, Kick, Play with the Pros, Lions Pride, Indigenous Youth Program 
  • Assist with community events as needed 
 
Skills/Qualifications Required: 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • A willingness to represent the BC Lions brand in the community 
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds.  
  • A positive attitude in executing hands-on events 
 
Preferred Skills: 
  • Experience working with kids and students  
  • University Degree 
  • Class 5 drivers’ license 
  • Training and Facilitation experience  
  • Familiarity with A/V equipment  
  • Comfortable with technology  
 
Special Requirements: Flexibility to work irregular hours eg: evenings and weekends. Access to a vehicle is strong asset. 

Compensation:  
Commensurate with experience (based on salary of $40,000 to $45,000 per year)
