POSITION SUMMARY:

The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain a secure network infrastructure for the New Highmark Stadium. The ideal candidate will require deep expertise in Cisco Networking (including SMPTE 2110 Video over IP), Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Zero-Trust (ZTNA) and enterprise Wi‑Fi solutions. This engineer will also assist supporting IT audits, compliance initiatives, and infrastructure projects, ensuring the highest standards of security and availability.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco enterprise networks including video over IP standard 2110 workflows
  • Implement VLANs, ACLs, VRF’s and segmentation between critical systems and secure infrastructures.
  • Optimize Network and Wi‑Fi deployments meeting and exceeding NFL and industry security standards and best practices.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, including conditional access,  Zero-Trust policies, and identity governance.
  • Manage enterprise access technologies such as MFA, VPN, SSO and role-based access controls.
  • Configure, and maintain Cisco ISE for network access control, posture assessment, and policy-based segmentation.
  • Integrate identity and access management with network security controls.
  • Deploy and monitor firewalls, MDR, EDR, IDS, IPS, and endpoint security tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, report, and remediate findings.
  • Assist with internal and external IT audits as well as maintain documentation for compliance frameworks.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and reporting for audit readiness and incident response.
  • Support expansion, renovation, and migration projects in multi‑tenant stadium environment.
  • Collaborate with IT team on disaster recovery and business continuity planning for critical systems.
  • Lead and support live network operations during gamedays and events.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or technical related field (or Associates with equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of enterprise experience with Cisco catalyst networking, Enterprise Wi-Fi, Copper/Fiber/Ethernet infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects effectively with attention to detail.
  • Create clear and concise written materials and present information effectively.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and solve problems effectively.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to support and elevate colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including gamedays, events, nights, and weekends on call as needed.
  • Travel may be required (up to 15%)

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certifications preferred: CCNP Security, CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate.
  • Experience with Zero-Trust (ZTNA) Architectures in large stadium sports environments.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Remaining in stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Working in outdoor elements that include high temperatures, low temperatures, wind, rain, and snow
  • Working in a noisy environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

COMPENSATION

  • The salary range for this role will be between $110,000 - $140,000 annualized. Salary will be based on the level role offered in accordance with candidate’s experience, qualifications and internal team equity.
