SUMMARY

The Stadium HVAC & Plumbing position will be responsible for the daily upkeep of the stadium and other areas as needed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot and repair problems in HVAC/Mechanical systems that occur in a commercial setting.
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems in Plumbing systems that occur in a commercial setting.
  • Install new plumbing and HVAC equipment as needed in renovated spaces or replacement of existing equipment that has failed as necessary.
  • Independently run tests, isolate problems, ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, pumps and heating and cooling equipment and perform other tasks as necessary.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation by listening for problems or using precision measuring and testing equipment.
  • Work closely with all maintenance staff to assist in the preventative maintenance of the building systems.
  • Operate the computerized building management systems for the complex.
  • Work with other maintenance staff in daily general maintenance of the facility.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the HVAC/Mechanical field.
  • General Carpentry skills are a plus.
  • General Plumbing skills are required.
  • Equipment Maintenance.
  • Valid New York State driver license.
  • Fork Lift/ Bobcat experience is a plus.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coordinate projects from implementation through completion.
  • Work schedule must be flexible – evenings and weekends required as needed. On call as required.
  • Experience in a similar field required.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative and team oriented environment.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs to perform job effectively
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while navigating ramps, stairs and elevators
  • Must be able to work in all seasons include extreme heat, cold, snow or rain

COMPENSATION

  • The role is non-exempt and the anticipated hourly rate of $38.00 - $40.00 an hour . Salary will be based on the level role offered in accordance with candidate’s experience, qualifications and internal team equity.
