Grounds Associate (part time)
The primary responsibilities of the Seasonal Grounds/Operations Associate will be to assist in the overall maintenance of the Bills grounds. This position may also at times assist in the maintenance of Buffalo Bills practice fields, Highmark Stadium game field, and Fieldhouse facility. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to Director of Grounds
- Work in concert with Director of Grounds on facility expectations
- Assist with seasonal clean-up of landscape areas on campus
- Daily maintenance of grounds
- Mowing
- Mulching
- Trimming/weeding
- Flowers/seasonal annual rotation
- Watering of areas as needed
- Leaf cleanup/removal
- Spray parking lots for weeds
- Outside improvement projects
- General upkeep and replacement of damaged areas
- Maintenance of equipment
- Work in concert with Event Services team for Fieldhouse event needs
- Other duties as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and stand for 6 hours or more.
- Ability to be outdoors in all weather conditions for 6 hours or more.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-noise environment
- Ability to verbally communicate with fans, staff, and partners.
- Ability to navigate large venue spaces
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have previous grounds related experience
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, as needed
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Proactive knowledge, training and/or education of current best practices with landscape technologies and standards
COMPENSATION
This role pays $16.00 an hour.
