Summary Description
The Cleveland Browns are seeking a seasonal social video content assistant to enhance the team's daily content production operation by contributing inspired creativity and keeping up with trends with a focus on vertical video shooting and editing. This individual will have a strong hand in running our Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram and Threads accounts, as well as keeping our ancillary channels populated, such as Huntington Bank Field, Browns Nigeria and Browns Italia.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Edit vertical video content for main Browns channels
- Shoot and provide coverage for community visits, youth football events and stadium announcements
- Run live stream and clip social videos for press conferences and other events.
- Create content plans and populate ancillary/global marketing partner channels in collaboration with rest of social team
- Take lead on Snapchat and Threads accounts, help with TikTok wherever needed
- Constantly bring fresh ideas to the table and keep watch on trending pop culture topics and new types of content relevant to each specific platform
- Design simplified graphics and meme content when needed or edit pre-existing templates made by our creative team
- Work gamedays and tentpole events alongside the rest of the social team to either run a specific function as part of the delegated roles in the operation or fill in where needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BA; Digital Media Communications or related field (preferred)
- 1-2 years of video production, social media management, or sports coverage experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere & Photoshop - After Effects & Illustrator a plus)
- Passionate about social media storytelling and content creation with an interest in applying that enthusiasm to sports
Requirements
- Candidate must be willing to work non–traditional hours that include nights, weekends, holidays and within the demands of an NFL schedule
- Must be able to be on-site at team headquarters in Berea, OH and at various events and games in downtown Cleveland
- Needs to be reachable outside of office hours to help with last minute changes or breaking news and should be keeping up with and brainstorming for the accounts they are given authority over at all times
