Description
Haslam Sports Group is seeking a hard-working, detailed, and experienced professional who will be responsible for strategic planning, development, and execution of capital projects for the organization's stadiums, training facilities, and other development assets. This role ensures projects are delivered on time and within budget, while meeting the organization's goals and objectives. The Director will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a key point of contact for all capital improvement initiatives, and is expected to immediately manage large-sized projects as well as small programs.

Primary Responsibilities 
  • Direct all phases of capital projects, including feasibility studies, budgeting, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning. 
  • Assist with preparing RFPs and managing procurement of necessary contractors and consultants
  • Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and municipal agencies
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and review invoices in collaboration with Finance.
  • Manage and review project documentation such as contracts, estimates and bid packages, design and construction drawings, shop drawings, request for information, startup/closeout documents.
  • Act as a communication hub within the organization, driving collaboration and a seamless flow of information between departments and with executive leadership
  • Monitor adherence to the agreed project schedules
  • Assist in maintaining current project files and in the preparation of regular project status reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Attend and/or lead project meetings and, if necessary, keep minutes of meetings for record purposes

Qualifications 
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a project engineer, project manager or construction administration representative for a design, construction, or program management firm
  • Proven track record of budgeting, scheduling, and leading multidisciplinary project teams
  • Exceptional organization skills 
  • Ability to balance long-term strategic vision with day-to-day project execution
  • Work autonomously and independently to complete project tasks as assigned 
  • Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently on fast-paced projects and jobsite environments.
  • Available to travel and to work non-traditional hours
