SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Community Relations department is looking to welcome a highly motivated and organized individual to join us as the Community Relations intern. The individual will support the department's mission by helping plan, execute, and evaluate community programs and initiatives. This role provides hands-on support across events, partnerships, communications, and administrative operations while representing the Cleveland Browns in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and execution of community programs, events, activations, initiatives, and appearances.
  • Support Browns Give Back, NFL initiatives, and the appearance request process.
  • Manage donation fulfillment activities, including database support, inventory coordination, packing, shipping, and distribution (training provided).
  • Track program metrics and assist with reports, recaps, and impact documentation.
  • Develop, edit, and proofread written materials including recaps, correspondence, and internal and external communications.
  • Help research and evaluate resources and organizations to support program ideation and development. 
  • Support social media content and routine communications.
  • Maintain event photos, photo galleries, and media coverage archives.
  • Communicate with community members and partner organizations; research and evaluate potential partners and resources.
  • Assist with planning special guest experiences and providing customer service aligned with Browns core values.
  • Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Mail Merge).
  • Experience with community events and social media preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
  • Past experience planning and implementing community events is a plus.
