Player Operations: Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapy/Doctor
Job Duties & Responsibilities
§  Responsible for injury/Illness evaluation and assessment for the Atlanta United 2 players 
§  Responsible for the treatment and rehabilitation of sports related injuries and illnesses for the Atlanta United 2 players 
§  Provides coverage and emergency management of team’s training sessions and matches both home and away
§  Collaborates with the performance staff regarding the team’s physical and fitness maintenance and development as well as prevention strategies 
§  Communicates pertinent information regarding all aspect of the medical care (verbal, written, etc.) with players, coaches, general manager/administration, team physicians, medical support staff (i.e. PT’s, podiatrist, massage therapist, etc.), worker’s comp insurance carrier, and others as necessary 
§  Implements activity and training modifications and restrictions for those players who are injured or are returning from injury
§  Coordinates the players’ care including adjunct medical services such as medical appointments, physician’s visits both in the training room and in their office, and medical support staff
§  Documents all medical related procedures into EMR
§  Coordinates the team’s entrance pre- participation and exit physicals
§  Orders and inventories medical supplies and budget management as needed 
§  Maintains, cleans, and organizes the Treatment/Medical room
§  Acts as the team’s liaison regarding communication of medical needs and status of the players to the 1st team’s medical staff 
§  Maintains a valid and non-expired athletic training license in the state of GA and satisfies all continued education needs in order to maintain state licensure and national certification 

This role will be employed by our external partner, Piedmont Healthcare.
