Position: Training Camp Assistant – Football Operations – Full Time/Temporary/Non-Exempt

Department: Football Operations

Reports to: Coordinator, Player Personnel Coordinator

Location: State Farm Stadium & Dignity Health Training Center (Glendale, AZ & Tempe, AZ)

Format: In-person

Duration: 2026 NFL Training Camp Mid-July - August/early-September

Job Summary:

The Football Operations Training Camp Associate will complete daily training camp responsibilities while assisting throughout various football operations departments; gaining hands-on experience and exposure to an NFL organization. Housing, meals and transportation are provided for this position for the duration of the Training Camp position. 

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Training Camp Assistant – Football Operations will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Player Personnel/Football Administration
    • Ensure club compliance with NFL CBA and NFL Player Personnel Handbook, including all scouting rules, roster limits and labor operation procedures.
    • Support the coordination of free agent tryouts and visits.
    • Assist with exit process of released players, including travel logistics from training camp.
    • Assist with organizing administrative documents within pro scouting and college scouting.
    • Overview of prospective player evaluation including player history and background information, and film review. 
    • Navigate the NFL Football Information System (FIS) along with daily salary cap, transactions and contractual review of all NFL clubs, including injury and roster tracking.
  • Player Engagement
    • Manage check-in, credentialing, and hosting for player families at practices; serve as a reliable point of contact to ensure a smooth, positive experience. 
    • Assist with sideline logistics and controlled on-field access for approved guests, working alongside security and staff to maintain structure and professionalism.
    • Support daily bus operations (load-in/load-out, manifests, timing) for players and select family movements; help troubleshoot real-time issues.
    • Assist with setup and execution of rookie development sessions, team events, and training camp activities, ensuring details are handled from start to finish.
    • Maintain accurate trackers (families, attendance, requests), support Teamworks updates, and provide daily recaps to keep staff aligned. 
  • Football Operations
    • Assist with daily operation of Training camp, including team hotel check-in and coordination of team transportation.
    • Support Training Camp practice logistics including player autograph sessions and friends/family area.
    • Support team travel preparation for the 2026 season by creating digital assets for use on team communication platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Currently enrolled in coursework towards a bachelor’s or graduate degree with a target completion date on or after December 2026.  
  • Experience: Experience working in collegiate football operations, recruiting, or related field
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, while being organized.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity to all football operations related matters and information.
  • Flexible and adaptable to multi-task with duties as assigned. 
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to drive a company vehicle.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while, also able to be collaborative and team oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with individuals across the organization.
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
  • This role will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
