Position: Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temporary) – Full Time/Temporary/Exempt

Reports to: Sr. Director, People Operations

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ)

Duration: NFL Season*

Job Summary:

As we build and reconfigure The Arizona Cardinals organization, a.k.a. The Club, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring we hire the best possible talent to help meet our long-term goals. This role focuses on searching for, engaging with, and bringing in talented individuals for various roles across The Club, through proactive market research targeting passive candidates and ongoing relationship management. We're looking for a passionate talent acquisition specialist who can find diverse talent, provide a fantastic candidate experience, and ultimately help drive retention by ensuring proper organizational, team, and manager alignment with the selected candidate(s).

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have the daily responsibilities including, without the limitation the following:

Talent Sourcing & Relationship Management:

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies based on job requirements and organizational needs to build pools of diverse, qualified talent
  • Utilize various tools, platforms, and methods to identify potential candidates including LinkedIn, social channels, professional networks, job boards, referrals, and other recruiting software
  • Engage with passive candidates, understanding their motivations and matching them with appropriate roles
  • Build and maintain a robust network of top talent, ensuring we have a steady stream of candidates for current and future roles
  • Develop trusting relationships with industry professionals to create a pipeline of qualified candidates

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay informed about trends and innovative recruiting techniques to ensure competitiveness in sourcing and recruiting practices
  • Analyze the talent market, providing insights on demand vs. supply, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the other departments and hiring managers to identify staffing needs and understand the specifics of each role and its requirements
  • Assist in the creation of job descriptions and setting qualifications
  • Plan and manage the interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments, and in-person interviews
  • Partner to promote our brand online and offline

Candidate Experience:

  • Ensure a positive experience for all potential candidates through timely communication, feedback, and respect
  • Represent the company brand and values during every interaction

Reporting/Administrative:

  • Maintain thorough documentation of sourcing methods, contact details, and outcomes for potential candidates
  • Provide regular updates to the People Operations team and hiring managers on pipeline and sourcing activities
  • Measure conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers, and get hired
  • Maintain candidate databases (e.g. via our Applicant Tracking System)

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of talent acquisition/sourcing experience
  • Proficiency in using recruiting software/systems and social media for recruiting
  • Experience developing a healthy culture within an organization where employees feel valued, engaged, and united toward the common goals of championship-level performance
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple completing priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, ability to research and offer ideas for solutions
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of how to operate within a customer-focused company and how to drive that mindset through the talent acquisition function with a hands-on approach
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity to all HR/TA related matters and information
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check
