Summary:  

The Arizona Cardinals are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Program Coordinator, Civics Engagement to support the implementation and ongoing management of the Civics Matters Arizona program. This program empowers middle and high school students across Arizona through three core pillars: the Civics Matters App/Website, the Civics Matters Trip, and the Civics Matters Combine. This role will play a key role in outreach, event coordination, participant support, and digital engagement, helping to ensure the program meets its annual engagement goal of 40,000 students for the first year.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Program Coordinator, Civics Engagement will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, to the following:  

  • Assist in managing day-to-day logistics for all three Civics Matters initiatives.
  • Support teacher and student onboarding for the Civics Matters App/Website.
  • Coordinate registration and scheduling for trips, events, and application-based participation.
  • Help administer and track learning modules and essay submissions, including managing essay audits.
  • Serve as the frontline contact for teachers, schools, and students participating in the program.
  • Coordinate email, phone, and in-person outreach to schools (with a focus on Title I and expansion schools).
  • Build and maintain waitlists and pipelines of interested schools and educators.
  • Track and manage partner communications.
  • Assist with planning and execution of the Civics Matters Combine, including registration and session coordination for students and educators.
  • Provide on-site support for field trips and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, public service, youth development, or related field
  • Experience: 1-2 years of program coordination or outreach experience, preferable with youth programs or education
  • Strong communication, organization, and administrative skills
  • Passion for civic education, youth engagement, and community outreach
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
  • Self-starter who is energized by people and mission-driven work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel across Arizona and work occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays for events; hours will vary depending on business needs
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check
