Position: Maintenance Technician – Full Time/Non-Exempt

Department: Facility Operations

Reports to: Senior Director, Facility Operations 

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ) NOTE: Starting 2028, this role will be based at the new Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in north Phoenix, AZ.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and responsible candidate to join our facilities team, to assist at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center (and as needed, at the Business office). This person will serve as the main point of contact at the training center and will be responsible for successful execution of all maintenance and janitorial services.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Maintenance Technician will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Prioritize and respond to work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks at both properties.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Break down and set up furniture as needed for facility needs.
  • Facilitate and assist with cleaning tasks around the facility.
  • Proactively seek pristine standards across facility through needs such as lighting replacement, repairs to doors, windows, furniture, hardware, etc.
  • Perform repairs as needed on HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and life safety equipment.
  • Assist with vendor oversight.
  • Perform drywall repairs including patching, mudding, sanding, and painting.
  • Ensures compliance of safety standards in accordance with OSHA.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education:  High School Diploma or GEDCPO Certification preferred
  • Experience: At least three (3) years in skilled trades experience or certification/license and/or 3 to 5 years’ experience in the successful performance of maintenance duties as a skilled technician in one or more or the following – carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, maintenance, and building repairs
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, handle multiple tasks at one time, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong leadership abilities and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft office and Outlook
  • Represent the Arizona Cardinals in a professional, and ethical manner.
  • Ability to lift furniture, supplies, deliveries, and/or equipment.
  • Work will include handling power tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length. Indoor and outdoor projects in extreme temperatures can be expected. 
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Flexible schedule including the ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, long and unpredictable hours, and be on-call (1-2 times per month).
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
