Job Summary:

As a member of the Arizona Cardinals Nutrition Services Department, the Kitchen Utility is responsible for assisting in maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitations standards for the training facility kitchen and meal rooms. This role is critical to the flow of service for corporate dining.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Kitchen Utility will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following: 

  • Maintain an A grade level cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment utilized on a daily basis
  • Assist with corporate dining meal services to run food and plateware throughout service
  • Conduct general cleanliness and organization of areas pertaining to BOH including sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, dry storage, and walk in coolers
  • Conduct cleaning of dishware, plasticware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. utilizing the industrial dishwasher or by hand utilizing the three-compartment sink
  • Organize all clean dishware and distribute to appropriate storage areas
  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries following procedures for FIFO within the facility kitchen or when observing items out of place
  • Ensure correct labeling, dating, rotating, and screening products to meet food safety requirements and the Arizona Cardinals standards
  • Adhere to guidelines for discarding or returning products that do not meet the Arizona Cardinals standards
  • Reports when the industrial dishwasher is running below safety standards along with any breakages, cleaning supply, or other issues to direct supervisor
  • Assist with food preparation, as directed by Performance Chef
  • Follow procedures for opening and closing the dish area ensuring all areas of dish station are wiped and clean including carts and walls
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Experience: Experience in food service required, fast-paced food service setting preferred
  • Knowledge of dish safety standards and operating an industrial dish machine
  • Up-to-date with all required certifications including a food handlers card
  • Experience and ability to contribute to a healthy team environment within an organization united toward the common goals of championship-level performance
  • Can communicate effectively with all individuals across the organization
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities and meet required deadlines
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around profession athletes in their work environment
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work on event days including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
