Reports to: Manager, Youth Football

Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ)

Format: In-person 

Duration: This is a one-year position from July 2026 to June 2027

Job Summary:

The Assistant, Youth Football is responsible for supporting Arizona Cardinals Youth and High School Football programs and initiatives. This is a 12-month, part time position that will require additional evening and weekend hours as dictated by the department's events and responsibilities. An ability to work at Arizona Cardinals home games, long hours, irregular schedules, weekend, early morning, late night, and holiday work assignments are the norm. A good attitude and a commitment to teamwork is a must. 

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Assistant, Youth Football, will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following: 

  • Assist the Manager, Youth Football with various youth and high school football requests, programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Assist with managing Arizona Cardinals Youth Football Instagram and Twitter accounts, keeping the accounts constantly updated with community relations events and activities.
  • Manage Youth Football inventory, including appearance jerseys, equipment and promotional items.
  • Manage and update the youth and high school football contact databases.
  • Assist with the event planning and management of all player appearances, visits and special events.
  • Assist youth football staff members with additional projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree conferred by June 2026 or equivalent education, training, and experience
  • Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in the sports industry preferred
  • Experience in event operations
  • Previous experience engaging with youth and high school football organizations, particularly coaches, preferred
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with individuals across the organization
  • Bilingual (Spanish), preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity around professional athletes in their work environment.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length.
  • This role will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs.
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
