Location:  State Farm Stadium (Glendale, AZ)

Format: In-person

Summary:

The Gameday Media Relations Assistant will have the opportunity to work with the Arizona Cardinals Media Relations department and assist in gameday functions in the press box at State Farm Stadium.

 

Primary Job Duties:

The Gameday Media Relations Assistant, will have the daily responsibilities, without limitation, to include the following:

  • Assist with ALL preseason, regular season and postseason home games.
  • Assist in the setup of Press Box on game day with seating cards, seating charts and flip cards.
  • Assist in distribution of credentials at Media Will Call and Credential Check-In.
  • Assist in the distribution of media photo vests.
  • Run copies of quarterly stats to media, broadcast booths, teams (if requested) or designated suites.
  • Transcribe post game press conferences and locker room availability for distribution to media.
  • Perform various other tasks that may be assigned by the Media Relations Coordinator or other full-time Media Relations staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree, or in pursuit of Bachelor's degree, from a four-year accredited college or university in Communications or related field preferred
  • Experience: Experience in professional or collegiate sports communications department preferred
  • Excellent English verbal, written and interpersonal communication with the ability to use discretion.
  • Strong writing skills; with proven experience and use of AP Style.
  • Previous transcribing experience strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Team player capable of handling a variety of duties and have the physical and mental capability to perform essential duties.
  • Ability to interact with players, staff, fans and the community in a professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays onsite at State Farm Stadium for all home games (https://www.azcardinals.com/schedule/).
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
