Ticket Sales Coordinator (Internship)

About AFFL:
The American Flag Football League (AFFL) was founded in 2016 by Wall Street Executive and flag football fan, Jeff Lewis. The AFFL was officially launched in 2017 and introduced the world to its 7 on 7 style of football. The AFFL organization consists of youth, women’s, and men’s competitions. The AFFL will introduce Men’s Professional Football to the flag football world. AFFL’s mission is to build a worldwide community united by shared values through the game of flag football. 

Overview
The Ticket Sales Coordinator will provide critical support to the ticket sales and operation department. This opportunity provides a unique experience in providing firsthand experience of a sports team/league from the ground floor. This is a primary sales and operations support role but will have the opportunity to be hands on in multiple facets of the organization. The sales coordinator will assist and be directly responsible for generating revenue through the sales of membership packages and group ticket sales. The Ticket Sales Coordinator is a perfect opportunity for a college student interested in learning about sales and business operations with a professional sports franchise.

A successful Coordinator will be reliable and trustworthy, results-driven, entrepreneurial mind-set, and can work both independently and with a team. This is a great opportunity to provide hands-on experience with the goal of obtaining a full-time role with a professional sports team/league.

Job Description 
  • Expected to be available during the entirety of games/events from report time through conclusion of responsibilities. Schedule will be dictated by supervisor and is subject to change as needed.
  • Perform outbound sales calls with perspective ticket prospects.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of gameday equipment/materials.
  • Assist customer service efforts and other office tasks.
  • Assist in the distribution of giveaway items.
  • Aid sales staff with season and group sales promotions. 
  • Work with merchandising to organize and maintain inventory of items.
  • Assist with partnership execution and fulfillment of gameday activations, including capturing proof of performance and assisting with partner asset management.
  • Assist in developing partner recaps to show a successful return on investment (ROI). 
  • Assist with camps & clinics, and/or community events as assigned.
  • Prospect leads and clients for sales opportunities.
  • Lead group theme nights from ideation to implementation.
  • Assist ticket operations and customer service. 
  • Help sell all ticket products for Dallas Ocelots/AFFL.
  • Attend grassroots events during the week to promote the Dallas Ocelots in the local community.
  • All other duties assigned.
 
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 CANDIDATE PROFILE – WHO YOU ARE:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to and from games.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work long shifts.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Ability to be prompt and dependable.
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
  • Must display attention to detail. 
  • Ability to easily stand for extended periods of time and move up and down stairs.
  • Passion for ticket sales 
  • Must have a personal laptop with access to Wi-Fi. 
  • Ability to attend all gameday during the season. 
  • Must be able to work a min. of 20 hrs. per week March – June.
  • Must be able to attend home games in Mansfield, TX and Frisco, TX.
 
 
Work Environment 
Works primarily in an outdoor area. Will be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends, and holidays.  This job will require extended periods of standing, and often will require lift up to 50 pounds.
