The Staffing Coordinator performs a variety of duties related to the recruitment and hiring of seasonal and part-time staff. The Staffing Coordinator is expected to apply previous high volume hiring or staffing experience and judgment to operate independently and quickly learn to operate at full functionality in the position.  This position is anticipated to work 10-25 hours per week May-September.  
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Receives, screens, and files incoming applicants.
  • Sources all candidates for seasonal part-time positions 
  • Schedules and performs initial screening interviews.
  • Hosts and manages high-volume recruiting events. 
  • Coordinates with hiring managers for telephone interviews and/or face-to-face interviews.
  • Extends written and verbal offers.
  • Ensures all paperwork and background screening is completed prior to orientation.
  • Coordinates with hiring manager to ensure the employee has correct credentials and permissions. 
  • Coordinates and participates in new hire orientation.
  • Tracks employee referral program. 
  • Tracks and reports statistics on seasonal hiring goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with high volume hiring or staffing strongly desired. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word.
