The Staff Accountant is responsible for recording general ledger transactions, daily cash and accounts payable, as well as performing reconciliations and evaluation of expenses for the Santa Clara Stadium Authority (SCSA), including shared stadium expenses, Non-NFL events, and stadium builder licenses (SBLs).  
 
Responsibilities and Duties: 
  • Responsible for the accurate, timely, and complete processing of A/P transactions for Non-NFL Events and SBLs.
  • Records and analyzes SBL transactions and prepares SBL reporting.
  • Completes daily cash reconciliation and reconciles bank statements monthly.
  • Responsible for evaluating appropriateness of allocated stadium manager expenses. Additionally, compiles all corresponding backup and supporting documentation.
  • Manages Concur workspace as needed.
  • Assists with compilation of financial reports.
  • Reviews and posts ledger and general journal entries.
  • Reconciles/reviews selected general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Performs monthly close duties as well as assists with month-end/year-end financial reporting.
  • ●    Other duties as assigned.

  • Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and impartial manner.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 3-5 years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with Great Plains and Concur.
  • Audit experience preferred.

This position may require the employee to work extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
 
Travel:
5% of travel time expected for the position.
