The Senior Coordinator, Digital Asset Management is responsible for managing and maintaining an in-house digital asset management system and permitting offsite access with search ability of photo database by key stakeholders across the organization. This work includes the preservation of historical archives and ensuring that our records are kept up-to-date, organized, and contain properly licensed photographs. This person should have passion for the art of photography and be proficient in their ability of post-processing images.
This person is responsible for creating relevant content that will be impactful through unique storytelling and powerful imagery. The Senior Coordinator collaborates with the creative design and digital team to deliver on-brand content to live on multiple platforms. This person works with Digital as well as with the Creative team on new photo concepts to develop new content strategies. The Senior Coordinator will also photograph and edit photos for San Francisco 49ers games, practices, community events, foundation, marketing and partnerships events, and other daily requests from the San Francisco 49ers and Levi’s Stadium stakeholders. This position also serves as the documentarian for the team as well as other 49ers Enterprises brands (49ersFit, Leeds, Elevate Sports Ventures).

Responsibilities and Duties:
●    Responsible for managing and organizing the digital asset management system, to ensure that all assets are archived, tagged and available in a timely manner.
●    Catalogues images for instantaneous usages with metadata tagging.
●    Produces weekly galleries for and Football Operations using NFL CMS.
●    Ability to edit and produce a quality selection of images efficiently and timely.
●    Stay up to date on all digital, photography, creative trends, and technology.
●    Maintain that all photography imagery is best-in-class to produce a high performing content output.
●    Photography duties will include documenting on and off field activities, including OTA’s, Rookie Camp, Mini Camp, Training Camp, Game Days, and more.
●    Field shoots as requested by departments internally in addition to shooting football team activities as approved by PR and football (daily, or weekly depending on time in season).
●    Attends all games, shoots entire game day experience (stadium, arrivals, pregame, in-game, postgame), and transmits photos wirelessly for use by creative and digital teams. 
●    Edits and logs all photos promptly after each game, introducing new technology to streamline postgame workflows where applicable. 
●    Collaborates with creative team on branding campaigns and in season micro campaign themes (i.e., Crucial Catch, MCMC, new uniform/gear launches).
●    Navigates ownership and usage rights of archival images from 1946-present.
●    Other duties as assigned.

Required Abilities and Skills:
●    Ability to work independently, as well in a team situation and with clients, working under pressure, and juggling multiple and complex projects on tight deadline.
●    Previous experience utilizing Photoshelter digital asset management services
●    Must have experience in still photography and knowledgeable in post processing skills
●    Proficient in PhotoMechanic, Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom and Mac OS systems
●    Must understand the importance of metadata tagging when searching for photo assets
●    Able to communicate confidently and competently to all types of audiences within a variety of delivery methods.
●    Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks
●    Knowledge understanding on how to use “on” and “off’ camera flash devices
●    Seek visual inspiration to create images independently 
●    Understanding of the NFL: Football rules, pace of game, players
●    Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Education and Experience:
●    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
●    Extremely proficient and knowledgeable with Canon photography gear/equipment preferred
●    Experience with Digital Asset Management – Photoshelter. 
●    Experience using SanDisk and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom).
●    Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word
●    Proficient Photo Mechanic and other photo editing software tools

This position requires the ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.

5% of intra and interstate travel requiring overnight stay expected for the position.
