The Accounting Manager is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Santa Clara Stadium Authority (SCSA), including shared stadium expenses, Non-NFL events, and stadium builder licenses (SBLs).  This full-time position will oversee SCSA reporting, general ledger transactions, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Acts as primary point of contact for the SCSA
  • Manages all special projects and requests related to the SCSA
  • Leads the interaction with the team auditing the SCSA financial reports
  • Manages SCSA monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and procedures
  • Reviews, approves, and posts entries prepared by staff 
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly account reconciliations and resolves discrepancies
  • Reviews and approves SBL report and wire transfer to SCSA
  • Ensures supporting documentation provided to the SCSA is consistent with 49ers and SCSA requirements
  • Develops and implements recommendations for enhancing accuracy and timeliness of reporting to SCSA
  • Provides support for Finance team in budget preparation and budget versus actual variance analyses
  • Supervises, trains, and mentors Accountants recording SCSA activity
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent degree and at least 5-7 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with Great Plains and Concur.
  • CPA, audit experience required.
