The Executive Vice President, Head of Information Technology is responsible for the vision and leadership to build the IT function and will play an integral part in leading and driving next-level maturity for the organization. The position is responsible for providing the organization and its staff a reliable, secure, and scalable application, data and network environment that meets the changing needs of the organization.  As Head of Technology for one of America’s premier sports brands, the Head of Technology should also be well versed on technology trends and partner with team sponsors for demonstration of same at Levi’s Stadium.
 
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develops vision, plan, and leads execution of IT systems, software applications, data, infrastructure systems and IT support while partnering with business needs and objectives.
  • Ensures projects, policies, and procedural documentation are in compliance with league, SOX, and other requirements.
  • Creates and implements policies, protocols, and standards to minimize/mitigate IT risks as needed.
  • Oversees IT Engineers to ensure IT workload is properly managed timely, efficiently, and completely.
  • Oversees Network Engineer and Systems Administrator ensuring all systems are running effectively, security updates and patches are being deployed regularly and all network devices are operating correctly.
  •  Acts as strategic business partner to organization to ensure systems are integrated, user friendly, and meeting the needs of all departments.
  • Conducts audits of security posture and ensures resulting actions address security gaps discovered.
  • Builds a highly effective and efficient team with a customer service mindset.
  • Researches emerging trends and technology to improve and enhance services.
  • Develops and manages budget.
  • Manages contract negotiations with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 12+ years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership/senior management experience.
  • Experience managing a team of employees, delegating tasks when appropriate and setting clear timelines for goals and requests to be completed. 
  • Understanding of networking with experience configuring networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Experience managing servers and storage environments.
  • Several years of desktop experience and managing end user requests and expectations.
  • Understands data and application architecture

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position requires the ability to work extended hours and/or weekends. 
 
Travel:
10% of travel time expected for the position both intra and interstate occasionally requiring overnight stay.
