The Senior Financial Analyst delivers timely and accurate financial data to the Santa Clara Stadium Authority and executive management team. The position partners with internal stakeholders to help analyze their financial resources so they can achieve their financial business goals.
 
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Prepares the annual Santa Clara Stadium Authority (SCSA) operating and capital budget.
  • Analyzes monthly SCSA financials and prepares reports and projections based on analyses.
  • Coordinates with other members of the finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Communicates effectively and thoroughly with internal departments, SCSA staff, and budget owners.
  • Helps maintain the SCSA’s financial reporting system & offers suggestions for improvements.
  • Proactively investigates unusual balances, variances, and fluctuations.
  • Builds and analyzes ad hoc financial reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree and at least 5 - 7 years’ relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel (Advanced Excel modeling skills required), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with ERP software (Anaplan, Hyperion).
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting, and the workings between an income statement and cash flow statement.
