Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Cleaning all of the corridors, elevators, terraces, restrooms, and locker rooms within the Spa

• Moving furniture, dusting, disinfecting, polishing fixtures and brass, and emptying trash

• Vacuuming and shampooing carpets, operating wet vac, stripping and waxing floors, and mopping

• Cleaning air vents, mirrors, and grout

• Changing shower curtains and completing detailed tile cleaning in the spa steam rooms and showers

• Completing daily assignments within the Spa at The Hotel Hershey

• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

• This position requires successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be self-motivated

• Able to prioritize multiple tasks

• Capable of working alone and being a self-starter

• Must possess guest relation skills and a professional image

• Must be very detail oriented

• Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions

• Must be able to operate commercial cleaning equipment listed above

Job Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

• Constantly (67 – 100% of time) Stand, Walk, and Balance 

• Frequently (34 – 66% of time) Lift (0-20 lbs), Carry (0-20lbs), Push (0-75 lbs), Pull (0-75 lbs), Reach forward and overhead, stoop, kneel, crouch, Handle Objects, Finger, Feel, Simple Hand Grasp, and Operate Controls

• Occasionally (1 – 33%) Lift (21 – 50 lbs), Carry (21 – 50 lbs), Climb Stairs, and Crawl

• Proper footwear to be provided by employee

• Schedule is 3rd shift: 10:30 pm- 7:00 am; weekends and holidays

• This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
