Security Officer 3rd Shift
Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.
3rd Shift Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the safety & security of all guests, team members, and property of the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex during the hours of 11 pm to 7 am.

Job Functions:

Provide exemplary service to guests and team members

Report and react to hazardous conditions and emergency situations
-
Receive telephone and radio calls (utilizing two-way radios), dispatch appropriate personnel, and log calls using an electronic Incident Management System

Monitor all vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the Complex to ensure all are authorized

Monitor alarm systems and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems

Conduct physical security patrols of assigned areas and complete assigned safety inspections and security assessments

Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying
- Post-employment: Must obtain RAMP Certification

Must possess a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guests

Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times

Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills

Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios

Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements

Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times

Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Ability to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability
Job Demands:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays - Team members must work a minimum of eight (8) hours every two pay periods in order to stay an active employee - Shift times are between the hours of 11 pm and 7 am

Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.

Physical requirements would include the ability to stand and walk unassisted (for up to eight hours at a time), bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance
