The Restaurant Manager - 1933 is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of food and beverage operations during lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in a 4 star/diamond dining environment, as well as for Poolside and the Villa Concierge Lounge at The Hotel Hershey.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
Interview, hire, schedule, train, and motivate staff. Ensure that all pre and post-service line-ups are executed daily. Set goals and assist in goal setting of direct reports. *
Forecast revenue and expenses. Monitor and control labor and supply costs in order to optimize profit and adhere to budgets. Complete payroll information and monitor labor reports.*
Provide hands-on leadership on the floor and respond to customer concerns. Monitor service, guest satisfaction, and the correct flow of service in the restaurant.*
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness in order to maintain safety, health, and sanitation standards.*
Oversee 1933 R&T wine program and mixology program, including making recommendations to the Beverage Manager of wines for the restaurant wine list. Maintain inventory on Uptown Network*
Order beverages and maintain inventory to anticipate and ensure all supplies and materials are available for each staff member to effectively perform their job functions.
Communicate regularly with the Director of Restaurants and Culinary partners to proactively manage and improve service standards, marketing strategies, guest comments/concerns, and menus.
Oversee the setup and teardown of events at 1933 R&T, Poolside, and the Villa Concierge Lounge.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Industry Experience - Food & Beverage. Experience working in fine dining is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
18 years of age or older.
Post-Employment - Obtain RAMP, ServSafe Allergen, and ServSafe Manager Certifications. Must maintain certifications as a condition of continued employment.
Bachelor’s degree
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 5 years
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to communicate effectively to ensure a supportive and inclusive team of professionals.
Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of Food & Beverage service.
Ability to interact in a welcoming and approachable manner with all guests and team members.
