Nurses are responsible for overseeing daily First Aid Operations of the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex in coordination with the Head Nurse, EMS Chief and Deputy Chiefs, and the Safety & Security Management Team. This position performs all duties in accordance with the licensure requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

 Job Functions:

  • Assess, treat, and triage guests and team members who report to First Aid

  • Supervise care provided to patients by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)

  • Provide exemplary service to all guests and team members within the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex

  • Administer emergency medications as permitted and required

  • Perform and complete administrative tasks, as needed

  • Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all patient contacts and/or treatments have been completed and reviewed

  • Maintain adequate medical supply stock in patient care areas

  • Consistently practice safe work habits to include, but not limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe conditions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age on the date of applying

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

  • Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license

  • Must possess a valid certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, including CPR/AED

  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse

  • In accordance with Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse), and Fingerprint-based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI), as a condition of continued employment.

  • This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and requires successful completion and passing of a pre-employment drug test.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, including Excel and Word

  • Must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated to perform all aspects of the job at all times

  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information 

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios

  • Must have the ability to remain alert and vigilant at all times

  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines and ensuring all certifications remain up-to-date and active

  • Ability to handle stressful working conditions, and emergencies, and accept a high degree of accountability

  • Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines

Job Demands:

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able to work in a combination of indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
