The Manager, Accounting assists with the oversight of General Accounting, with a primary focus on the Company’s inventory as well as accounting process areas. The Manager, Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting related to inventory operations and will collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and optimization of the Company’s inventory management processes. The Manager, Accounting will also assist with the accounting process areas by providing oversight and identifying process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and bolstering internal controls.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Assist the day-to-day financial operations of the General Accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of all monthly inventory related deliverables.*

  • Oversee the reconciliation of inventory and process areas monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Lead the month-end close process related to inventory and process areas.*

  • Establish and maintain internal controls on accounting processes.*

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline workflows and drive continuous improvement in inventory and accounting process areas.*

  • Strengthen end-to-end inventory processes and reporting.*

  • Analyze inventory for potential excess and obsolete reserves.*

  • Partner with operations teams to understand product costs, variance drivers, and optimize inventory management practices.*

  • Train, supervise, and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success and professional growth.*

  • Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency.*

  • Support external audit processes, including providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors as needed.*

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Bachelor’s degree - Accounting, Business Administration, Financial Management. MBA a plus.

  • Minimum of 7 years of related accounting/finance experience. Financial Services, Hospitality, CPA, and/or public accounting experience a plus.

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of US GAAP.

  • Ability to communicate and advocate accounting positions.

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, and ability to use these tools to create efficiencies.

  • Experience with financial accounting software and reporting tools.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills. Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
