Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Load/unload soiled/clean linen from delivery vehicles

• Receive and store soiled linen for transportation to laundry vendor

• Receive and log clean linen from laundry vendor for distribution to HE&R properties, Milton Hershey School, and other small accounts, including manually sorting by linen type and property specific locations

• Sort and organize clean linen by location

• Ability to identify linen by property

• Evaluate linen, as needed, for quality inspection and replacement

• Sort and track damaged linen removed from inventory

• Assist in property wide linen inventory

• Maintain overall cleanliness of linen warehouse (including restrooms, breakroom, and warehouse)

• Clean and disinfect laundry carts

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older

• This position participates in the post-offer employment testing program

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work as a team to accomplish common goals

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to work with speed and accuracy in fast-paced environment

• Ability to understand oral and written instruction in English

• Ability to operate and understand use of computer, keyboard and coding

• Ability to operate floor scrubber/vacuum

Job Demands:

• Constantly (67 – 100% of time)

• Push/pull carts of clean/soiled linen (21-50 lbs)

• Frequently (34 – 66% of time)

• Walking, standing, forward reaching, overhead reaching, lifting, balancing, object handling, hand grasping  Frequent

• Depth perception, spatial awareness: Frequent 

• Speaking, writing, operating controls: Frequent 

• Occasionally (1 – 33%)

• Stooping, crouching, climbing stairs/ladders

• Flexible work shift to meet operational demands to include weekends/holidays and overtime when necessary.  Days off will vary week to week and may not be consecutive.  Typical shift is 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

• This is a Union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
