Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Operating 50lb washing machine, commercial dryer, and residential washer and dryers.* 

  • Washing, drying and folding laundry.* 

  • Sewing tasks for guest and employee requests such as buttons and hemming. Handling special alteration requests from both internal and external guests.* 

  • Ironing/steaming guests clothing as requested.* 

  • Maintaining housekeeping laundry room to include sweeping/mopping floors, tidying chemical room, and rotating linen to ensure freshness.* 

  • Assisting with quarterly departmental linen inventories.* 

  • Inspecting and examining linen that is delivered to guest rooms floors for flaws.*

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience. 

  • 18 years of age or older. 

  • Completion of high school or GED 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have working knowledge of sewing, ironing, and handling alterations.

  • This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person. 

  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (Repetitive motion).

  • Employee must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate information. 

  • This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements which will most likely include weekend and evening hours.
