Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is seeking interns to participate in our 2026 Summer Hospitality Internship Program (HIP). HIP is geared towards college students pursuing a degree from an accredited institution that will support a career in Hospitality & Tourism Management, Food & Beverage, and Recreation Industries.

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May 2026 through August 2026.
Housing:
- Company coordinated housing is available for this opportunity. If utilized, a weekly housing fee of $160 per week, inclusive of utilities and limited transportation, will be automatically deducted from students’ biweekly paychecks. Upon commitment to employee housing, HE&R will charge a $180 housing fee, inclusive of a refundable $160 housing deposit and a nonrefundable $20 insurance waiver fee.
- Interns taking advantage of our company coordinated housing will be expected to move in and begin their internship on May 16, as well as be available to work through August 8.
Interview Process: Upon completion of the application, your resume will be reviewed and qualified candidates will be invited to participate in a virtual interview process.
- Students will be selected to intern at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, The Chocolatier Restaurant, Downtown Restaurant Group (Devon Seafood + Steak and Houlihan’s), Hershey Country Club, or Hersheypark Camping Resort in one of the following concentrations:
Food and Beverage
- Interns will supervise one of our front-of-house food operations. You will have the opportunity to see all aspects of F&B management including service, staff training, inventory management, staff management, operating procedures, and will have exposure to participating in projects such as menu development and program planning for concessions outlets and seasonal events. As an intern you will utilize your customer communication skills to increase productivity while learning the core values that support our mission. Working closely with leadership, you will gain invaluable exposure and experience within the hospitality industry.

Guest Services and Housekeeping

Recreation
- Interns will assist in supervising a staff of recreation team members, learn aquatic skills and facilitate daily recreational activities for our guests. As an intern you will utilize your customer communication skills to increase productivity while learning the core values that support our mission. Working closely with leadership, you will gain invaluable exposure and experience within the hospitality industry.
- This position may provide care, supervision, guidance, or control of children or may have regular, ongoing contact with children that is integral to the responsibilities of the position. As a result, in accordance with Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law, newly hired candidates are required to obtain the following clearances: a report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse), and Fingerprint-based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI). Completed clearances are required to be submitted prior to starting employment.

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be actively enrolled in a college/university and majoring/minoring in the Hospitality & Tourism, Food & Beverage, Travel & Tourism or related field.
- This internship is open to undergraduate college students or students graduating from an undergraduate program in May 2026.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Prior work experience in a hospitality setting highly preferred
- Some positions may require a valid Driver’s License to perform the essential functions of the job
- Must be willing to obtain lifeguard, CPR and first aid certifications upon employment (Recreation Interns Only)
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven leadership skills with an understanding of conflict resolution and problem solving
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Abide by appearance standards and be able to maintain hospitality standards for the assigned property
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast paced environment
- Keyboarding skills and computer literacy
Job Demands:
- Limited transportation will be provided from the housing partner location to Hersheypark Entertainment Complex, The Hotel Hershey, and the Hershey Lodge. Students selected for other properties are responsible for reliable transportation outside of the provided transportation times and destinations.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical requirements are based on position to include but are not limited to: standing, sitting, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting/pushing/carrying (up to 75lbs), bending, and walking.
- A flexible work environment requires adaptability to demanding/fast pace, noise and various weather conditions.
