During a typical week as a Hersheypark Leadership Development Intern, you work as a Hersheypark Team Member, live alongside fellow interns, and develop your skills in weekly professional development sessions.

- Complete weekly professional development sessions in partnership with departments across Hershey Entertainment & Resorts with potential to receive internship credit with your college/university.*
- This position is located at Hersheypark in one of our operating teams. Opportunities exist in multiple departments and interns are placed based upon work experience and operational need, however, the majority of interns are placed in Rides/Attractions, Lifeguards, or Food & Beverage.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age on the day of applying for this position.
- This internship is open to undergraduate college students and upcoming graduates of all majors, including: Hospitality, Business, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Public Relations/Communications, Information Technology, Hotel/Restaurant Management, Criminal Justice and more.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Friendly, upbeat, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Abide by Hersheypark appearance standards.
- Certain positions will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing and/or a post-employment RAMP certification.
Job Demands:
- Company coordinated housing is available for this opportunity. If utilized, a weekly housing fee of $160 per week, inclusive of utilities and limited transportation, will be automatically deducted from students’ biweekly paychecks. Upon commitment to employee housing, HE&R will charge a $180 housing fee, inclusive of a refundable $160 housing deposit and a nonrefundable $20 insurance waiver fee.
- Interns taking advantage of our company coordinated housing will be expected to move in and begin their internship on May 16, as well as be available to work through August 8. Interns who will not rely on company coordinated housing are encouraged to start working as early as the beginning of May and continue working until Labor Day weekend.
- Students residing outside of 50 miles to Hersheypark are required to stay at the company coordinated Housing Complex. If not utilizing company coordinated housing, reliable transportation to and from work, as well as to the professional development sessions, is required.
- This internship will be scheduled for up to 5 closing shifts and average 40 hours per week. (Intern work schedules will consist of Thursday - Monday or Friday - Tuesday, based on the intern's assigned weekly professional development session day.)
- Professional development sessions will be held either on Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. (Interns will be paid for classroom time.)
- There may be an opportunity for the intern to pick up additional shifts based upon operational demand.
- Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, and communicating with employees and guests.
- The working conditions include indoor and/or outdoor environments with the potential to work in various weather conditions.
