This position is responsible for providing support to the Group Reservations Managers, Resorts Sales Managers, Convention Services Managers, and the Reservations staff, with all aspects of the Group Reservations process. This position will assist meeting planners with the reservation process for their event/conference and assist with managing their room block.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Assist meeting planners with the reservation process for select groups/events at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, or Hershey Inn & Suites, including managing the allocated room block to an agreed upon contract through blocking of rooms, complimentary rooms, and special requests.*

  • Set up new group bookings in the online reservations system and property management system. Monitor interface and make the necessary adjustments to reservations and/or group room blocks.*

  • Assist Group Reservations Managers, including but not limited to, processing reduction letters, providing additional communication to group contacts, inputting rooming lists, and setting up special billing as needed.*

  • Establish and maintain relationships with Resort Sales staff, Convention Services Managers, and group contacts.*

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism

  • Must have a valid Driver's License

  • Completion of high school or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

  • Skilled in the use of Google Suite, including Sheets, Docs, and Forms.

  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.

  • Must be proficient in working with Hotel property management or reservations systems.

  • This job requires the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens, accounting ledgers, using measurement devices).
