Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Responsible for providing guest transportation
Assisting guests with luggage; delivering and picking up materials needed in everyday operations of the Hotel and hand delivering items to the appropriate departments, as necessary, including mail
Assist in valet service for guests
Assist bellstand with tagging luggage and directing guests
Assist in providing storage for guest luggage; show rooms to potential guests, if bellman not available; perform errands; arrange for taxis for guests, if needed
Assist bellstand with luggage for bus arrivals and departures, if needed
Perform upkeep on courtesy vehicles and keep vehicles clean; report courtesy vehicle accidents
Arrange limousine service Operate property equipment (cell phones, copier, shoe shine machine)
Prepare maps and provide directions
Assist with coat room service
Assist in keeping lower lobby neat, clean and organized; other duties as assigned which are associated with the uniform services operation as specified by the Head Concierge, Front Office Manager or Supervisor, Rooms Division Manager or General Manager
Qualifications:
Minimum age, 21 years.
High school education or equivalent, preferred
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Must have an excellent driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Outgoing, friendly personality and neat appearance required. Familiarity with the area and routes.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
Job Demands:
Flexible work schedule to include basic shifts of 6AM to 2:30 PM, 3 PM to 11:30 PM and cross shifts such as 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift 35-50lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, lift and bend for up to 50% of shift. Ability to work in varying temperatures that fluctuate with the weather.
This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
