This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of group bookings, special events, and caterings for The Hotel Hershey.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Work with clients to understand needs and coordinate and develop program details; collaborate with operating departments to create special activities, menus, services, set-ups, AV, etc.*

  • Conduct planning visits with clients via in person and/or by phone. Answer all client questions and concerns.*

  • Produce and maintain accounts in Delphi; Prepare comprehensive group resumes. Outline details of functions on banquet event orders and floor plans.*

  • Review group programs turned over by the sales team for opportunities to up-sell food and beverage, AV, room rental, etc*

  • Coordinate efforts of all personnel involved in event execution to ensure all client needs are fulfilled.*

  • Participate in the Manager on Duty program.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Industry Experience - Hospitality/Tourism, Food & Beverage, Other

  • Bachelor’s degree - Hospitality Management

  • Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 6 years

  • Post-employment - Must obtain RAMP Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

  • Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time.

  • Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organization skills.
