Be part of the opening team at Hershey Inn & Suites, the newest addition to The Official Resorts Of Hersheypark®, opening Spring 2026. Located just minutes from the Park, Hershey Inn & Suites features 130 rooms including 7 suites, complimentary continental breakfast, an indoor pool, arcade, and fitness center.

This position is responsible for the daily preparation, presentation, and service of the Hershey Inn and Suites' complimentary breakfast buffet. This role ensures that all food items are prepared according to brand and safety standards, the buffet is kept fully stocked, clean, and appealing throughout service, and that guests receive a positive and consistent dining experience. Additional responsibilities include ordering and inventory management, maintaining production sheets, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, and properly breaking down and cleaning the buffet and kitchen at the end of service.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and cook hot and cold breakfast items according to recipe standards and production sheets.

  • Set up, replenish, and monitor the buffet to ensure items are well-presented, fresh, and adequately stocked during service hours.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting buffet area at all times.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with local health department regulations and brand standards.

  • Monitor food temperatures, storage, and handling to ensure safe service.

  • Tear down and clean the buffet area after service.

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store all equipment, utensils, and serving pieces.

  • Ensure the kitchen is fully cleaned and reset for the next day’s service.

  • Maintain accurate production sheets and par levels.

  • Place and receive food orders to ensure proper stock levels while minimizing waste.

  • Rotate stock and monitor inventory to maintain freshness and cost control.

  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests when needed.

  • Communicate effectively with hotel management and team members regarding supply needs, guest feedback, and operational concerns.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older. 

  • Previous food service, buffet, or line cook experience preferred.

  • Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must demonstrate an ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • Must have organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees.

  • Must maintain a highly professional demeanor and adhere to the HE&R Core Values.

Job Demands:

  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and/or pull, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-placed mobility.

  • Must be able to work in a safe and professional manner.

  • Work performed primarily in a kitchen and dining environment with exposure to heat and food preparation equipment.
