This position is responsible for report running, analyzing data, demand forecasting, inventory replenishment, SKU life cycle management, and Open to Buy process for Retail and Games outlets within Hershey Entertainment and Resorts.

Job Functions:

  • Analyze data in order to prepare sales, margin, and inventory forecast reports. Identify trends, potential risk and opportunities for growth and share with operations team, buying team, merchandise planner, and retail director in order to inform decision making. *
  • Assist in pulling sales and inventory reports and organizing the data for various teams including but not limited to operations, buying, and planning and allocations. *
  • Pull and communicate PO reports and analyze timing vs inventory levels, outstanding/delayed POs and share feedback. *
  • Monitor and plan inventory levels compared to budgets and forecasts in order to evaluate pricing and placement strategies. Work with merchandise planner and allocations manager to assess inventory aging and make recommendations on markdowns and liquidations in order to optimize inventory turn. *
  • Assist buyers with placing reorders to ensure the inventory available meets the projected sales, inventory par levels, and merchandising requirements. *
  • Assist merchandise planner to manage the Open to Buy (OTB) process to give structure and support to buyers and improve inventory turn. Develop processes to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained in order to satisfy customer demand. *
  • Develop and manage processes for demand forecasting, lead times, and other cycles. Utilize tools to determine appropriate inventory levels and provide feedback to the buying team on ordering practices for key vendors in order to fulfill customer demand and meet sales goals. *
  • Participate in store walkthroughs to evaluate merchandising and receive operational feedback for inventory needs. *
  • Communicate inventory strategies and ensure they are being executed properly. *
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 2 year(s) of Retail, Financial Services, or other related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Business Administration, E-commerce, Finance, Marketing, Retail Management, Sales
    • 4 years of experience in lieu of education.
