The Infrastructure Group has two core areas of focus: Server/Storage/Enterprise Applications and Networking. The Associate Infrastructure Analyst is required to develop an expertise in one of these core areas. The areas of responsibility are all aspects of Information Technology server infrastructure (physical and virtual), data storage, networking infrastructure, and data interconnects. This person will aid the Infrastructure Engineers and Senior Engineers with ensuring the stability and operational aspects of the organization’s Information Technology enterprise systems and applications, virtual environments, databases, server infrastructure, and both wired and wireless networking.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

Help administrate and maintain the company’s current networking topology and technologies (wired and wireless), and implement new and emerging strategies. This encompasses both private and public networking.*

Administer the company's infrastructure and security systems, including but not limited to servers (physical and virtual), storage appliances, firewalls, proxies, and monitoring software.*

Perform proactive availability monitoring of all underlying networking and infrastructure technologies.*

Aid in the installation, maintenance, and administration of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory Environment (including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc) and other core Microsoft Technologies.*

Help design and maintain infrastructure components in Microsoft Azure, supporting the company’s initiative for a hybrid cloud environment.

Aid in maintaining the company's High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies and processes. This includes platform selections, documentation, and testing.

Help maintain and purchase all Data Center equipment, including servers, storage, networking, and enterprise appliances such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, etc.

Conduct research on emerging infrastructure technologies and standards that support the company’s initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Associate’s degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Networks, Information Systems, Information Technology

Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 3 years

Must have working knowledge of server, desktop, email, and security environments, including such things as Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation environments, Microsoft Azure, Networking, Wireless, or other industry-standard techniques and practices.
