Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.
This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Hersheypark attractions. This includes ensuring all staff follows company and departmental training. This position will work collaboratively with other areas of the operation to ensure safe and efficient operations and positive experiences for guests and team members. This position will also complete guest correspondences in a professional and timely manner. This position participates across the department for the departmental Manager on Duty shifts.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):
Develop, coach, and mentor full-time and seasonal supervisors as well as provide sound leadership for team members while ensuring the responsible and safe execution of attraction performance and the delivery of superior service. Ensure optimal operational performance of attractions.*
Assist in the development of training and documentation processes as well as evaluate and make recommendations for process improvements. Ensure employees are following all training programs and providing our guests with the highest level of service.*
Respond to department guest correspondences in a professional and timely manner. Keep department team members updated on identified trends.*
Create full-time supervisor schedules and adjust as needed to adhere to labor budget and operational demands. Plan and assign annual goals, daily tasks, and assignments to meet departmental and company objectives.*
Serve as Manager on Duty for the park department and respond to emergency situations as needed or expected.*
Ensure financial due diligence by monitoring labor and expenses and aligning with organizational audit standards to secure all company assets.*
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of Amusement Park, Hospitality/Tourism, or other related experience.
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
18 years of age or older.
Bachelor’s degree
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 4 years
Post-Employment - Must be a Pennsylvania Ride Inspector Level II within the first year of employment.
Post-Employment - Must obtain either Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification within the first 18 months of employment.
Post-Employment - Must obtain a Jeff Ellis & Assoc lifeguard license within the first year of employment.
