This position manages the creative and operational functions of the Creative Department for UFC. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and UFC policies, practices, and procedures.
Interface with internal team, external departments, and executive management to understand company’s objectives as they relate to broad brand goals and individual creative requests; work under direction of Senior Vice President, Global Brand Creative, and alongside Vice President, Global Brand Creative, to ensure brand goals are met; flag goals in need of more discussion.
Schedule projects and workload for Creative Department; resolve design problems and timelines; ensure workload is balanced and assignments match creative abilities of designers.
Interface with internal team, external departments, executive management, and print vendors to communicate project status and resolve issues; ensure that necessary information and design specs are relayed to designers via Creative Brief and/or discussions.
Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring quality of production and adherence to UFC’s internal timelines and budgetary discipline
Ensure creative executions meet UFC brand standards, deadlines, expectations, and budget as outlined in the Creative Brief and/or discussions.
Attend meetings and provide creative and/or operational input based on information from the Senior Vice President, Global Brand Creative, UFC brand initiatives, global trends, and company positioning.
Review and approve creative deliverables based on direction from the Senior Vice President, Global Brand Creative and executive management; ensure that specs are reviewed and proofed for accuracy and brand standards.
Manage and form relationships with print vendors domestically and internationally; send art files to print, track delivery, and manage graphics, posters, and art budget and invoices.
Maintain functionality of internal workflow systems, including Monday.com creative project management system and OneMarket eProcurement system; interface with developers for enhancements and/or necessary updates.
Cultivate a creative and collaborative environment to build cohesive teams within the department.
Stay current with creative trends and styles in various media.
Alongside the Vice President, Global Brand Creative, pre-screen, interview, and make hiring recommendations; evaluate and counsel assigned employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
