Position Overview:
The Director of Ecommerce will lead AEW’s global ecommerce growth strategy and operations, driving revenue and fan engagement across ShopAEW.com social commerce channels, and international storefronts. This role will oversee platform management, merchandising, marketing integration, analytics, and international expansion. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with proven success scaling DTC ecommerce businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end ecommerce business (ShopAEW.com, social commerce channels, international storefronts).
- Drive online revenue growth through data-driven strategies in merchandising, conversion optimization, retention, and promotions.
- Oversee site platform management including enhancements, UX/UI improvements, integrations, and migration projects (Shopify Plus).
- Build and lead a high-performing ecommerce team while overseeing external vendors and agency partners.
- Partner with marketing, content, and creative teams to deliver integrated fan experiences across social commerce, influencer activations, and digital campaigns.
- Lead ecommerce analytics and reporting, establishing KPIs for sales, AOV, conversion rate, and customer lifetime value.
- Develop and manage international ecommerce strategy, including localized storefronts, fulfillment, and distribution partnerships.
- Collaborate with licensing and merchandise partners to maximize category sales and storytelling opportunities.
- Champion innovation in ecommerce features - customization, drops, limited editions, and subscriptions models.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in ecommerce leadership roles, preferably with DTC and entertainment, sports, or lifestyle brands.
- Proven success driving multi-million dollar online revenue growth.
- Expertise in Shopify Plus (or similar ecommerce platforms), analytics tools, CRM, and digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of social commerce, influencer marketing, and fan engagement ecosystems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fan-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment while advancing AEW’s mission to connect with fans worldwide.
