Position Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the accuracy and execution of accounting operations across the business. This role will work closely with the CFO and internal teams to ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and aligned with transaction activity across the platform, while also providing oversight and direction to a staff accountant. 

You will be responsible for managing the general ledger, overseeing the month-end close process, and ensuring that all financial reporting reflects approved contract terms and payment activity. This position also includes ownership of payroll processing and employee benefits administration.

This is an execution-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Close
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations 
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP 
  • Prepare internal financial reports and support visibility into company performance 
  • Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion 
  • Ensure financial activity accurately reflects contract terms, including pricing, payment timing, and revenue share structures 
  • Reconcile transaction flows across contracts, internal records, and financial data 

Payroll & Benefits
  • Process and manage bi-weekly payroll with accuracy and consistency 
  • Administer employee benefits in coordination with internal stakeholders and external providers 

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 
  • 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience 
  • Strong experience with general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting 
  • Experience in transaction-heavy or multi-entity environments 
  • Strong understanding of GAAP 
 
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with revenue share or commission-based models 
  • Exposure to contract-based or partnership-driven businesses 
  • Interest in sports, NIL, or collegiate athletics
