Position Overview: OSU and Playfly Aspire seek a teachable, positive, and passionate individual who is committed to building relationships, being a great teammate, and someone with a strong work ethic.  The ideal person would be passionate about and committed to preserving a culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees. This role will have a focus performing revenue generating actives with a focus on premium and hospitality areas. 

The primary purpose of this role will be 1) selling premium offerings in designated athletic facilities for OSU home game through a relationship-based approach that prioritizes the needs of the prospect and 2) providing first-class service to existing clients. 

Revenue will be generated primarily from outbound phone calls, venue tours, and face-to-face appointments/presentations. Day-to-day leadership and mentoring of this position will be provided by the Director, Sales and Service and Assistant Athletic Director/General Manager, Sales and Service.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  •  Focus on selling corporate high-end premium products associated with OSU Athletics
  • Sell multi-year and single event premium club seats and suite leases.
  • Maintain and renew premium seat license agreements and ensure contractual fulfillment. 
  • Be responsible for meeting personal sales and service goals.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of new business and retention strategies for all premium seating opportunities.
  • Employ solution-based selling to maximize the needs of the customer to help achieve their goals.
  • Maintain a high cadence of face-to-face meetings, both at our venues and in the corporate community.
  • Operate independently on a daily basis with a focus on outbound sales activities.
  • Provide first class service to existing and potential clients.
  • Manage premium area gameday operations, ensuring all premium accounts are having the best experience possible.
  • Assist in development of premium service fan tracking, through survey creation and follow up communications.
  • Manager part-time premium services team members, assist in hiring and onboarding student positions.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Leadership.
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of previous sports sales experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present proposals to prospects.
  • Desire to grow a career in the sports premium sales and/or hospitality industry. 
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, a genuine desire to help people.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required.         
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and listening skills. 
  • Ability to remain focused on sales goals, work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Professional image and demeanor at all times. 
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, flexibility, equity, and inclusion that enables colleagues to contribute to their full potential, feel valued, and supported.
  • Ability to manage part-time premium service team members.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when needed. 
 
Compensation: Competitive base salary with the opportunity to earn commission upon meeting or exceeding ticket sales goals.  Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, other voluntary health benefits and 401k with company match. Excellent paid time off program.
