Summary:
Peak Sports MGMT is actively looking for a sports journalism intern to join our Peak Events and Peak Sports MGMT staff at our HQ location north of Dallas. This position will help write and create press releases and articles centered around the Frisco Classic, Karbach Round Rock Classic, and Peak Sports MGMT. This position will be in charge of writing stories around teams, players, coaches, and stories around our tournaments participating and upcoming teams, about the addition of new employees and new universities, and more. Once written, this position will coordinate and work with our social media platforms to boost these articles to the public.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program or graduated with at least a bachelor's degree from a 4-year university or college
- Must have a passion for sports and journalism
- Demonstrate an enthusiastic and outgoing personality
- Aggressive and effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, detail oriented, strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Willing to learn and grow as a sport professional
- Prepared to possibly work nights and weekends
