Position Summary:
Reporting to the Marketing Automation Manager, the Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for building email & SMS strategies and executions that align with NCSA’s overall marketing and sales go-to market approach. You will develop email strategies grounded in customer insights, data, and best practices to nurture leads and drive enrollments. You will take a holistic, customer-centric approach to understanding the user experience for our newsletters and workshops. The Marketing Automation Specialist will regularly report on the success of overall email marketing campaigns and tests. This resource will strategically analyze the customer journey as it relates to our email strategies, to ensure a seamless path from email to site and, ultimately, conversion. It is key that this resource is proactive and entrepreneurial, as this resource will partner with other marketing functions, such as the design, content, and business development teams to execute on his/her strategic objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding across NCSA’s array of go-to-market systems, including Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, 360SMS, Transactional Emails, Product, and more.
- Build, QC and execute low complexity brand omnichannel programs, specifically our newsletter and recruiting workshops. This includes building out journeys (base cadences) and a small number of low complexity trigger programs to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time through the right channel.
- Ensure high quality, on-time, and error free implementation, testing, and QA of campaigns within the marketing automation platform. Create, review, and share standard quality control document and follow process to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support team members by performing QA of their programs.
- Maintain documents per requirements of department document management policies and procedures.
- Proactively use A/B testing and other experimentation techniques to demonstrably show increase in performance of existing or new campaigns.
- Implement capabilities including targeting, personalization, audience segmentation, and dynamic, personalized content to deliver the best customer experience. Build and execute test plans, identify winners and pro-actively recommend optimization opportunities and ensure high email deliverability, reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership from Sales/Sales Ops, Marketing, and Product/Engineering to experiment with valuable new campaigns and journeys in Marketing Cloud
- Provides exemplary customer service while setting, maintaining, and exceeding brand expectations. Provide updates on projects and any risks to Associate Director.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
- 2+ years of experience of Database Marketing, CRM, Email, Digital, Direct Mail, 1:1 marketing experience
- Minimum of 1 years of hands-on work experience creating marketing campaigns in enterprise-level Salesforce Marketing Cloud automation platform
- Strong attention to detail and fast learner with some knowledge of CRM and email marketing
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Inquisitive, strong analytical skills, including the ability to infer and apply learnings
