Data Coordinator
Data Coordinator Job Details:
The Zcruit Data Coordinator will be responsible for the quality of incoming and current data in Zcruit by facilitating the ingestion of data into Zcruit from our data providers. This will involve maintaining and building relationships with our data providers and holding them to a high standard of data accuracy, presentation, and timeliness.
The Data Coordinator will own the process of receiving data, cleaning it, working with the dev team to import it, and ensuring the accuracy and presentation of the data in Zcruit. They will also be responsible for proactively upkeeping the data that lives in Zcruit to make sure it is current, accurate, and suitable for our users.

  • Build and maintain relationships with data providers such as National Preps, Rivals Camp Series, Polynesian Bowl Combine, and more
  • Set and enforce the processes and expectations for data transmission with our data providers
  • Receive, clean, and format camp/combine results & video, then work with the dev team to get the content ingested into Zcruit cleanly and efficiently
  • Proactively use techniques to rid the database of duplicates
  • Update outdated/inaccurate/missing prospect information such as high schools or grad years
  • Search for prospect Twitter handles to add to Zcruit
  • Track college coach and staff movement to maintain accuracy on our site
  • Execute file drops for our customers who enroll in our data sync
  • Utilize methods to ensure we have the most complete commitment data
  • Execute daily/weekly/monthly/yearly data tasks
  • Collaborate with development team to implement proactive measures to improve data quality and cleanliness
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines
  • Skilled in problem solving and diligent in cross-referencing sources
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools including Excel and Google Sheets
  • An interest in college football recruiting data
  • Prior experience in the college football scouting/recruiting space preferred
  • Experience with data sources such as Rivals and 247 preferred
  • Experience with Jira or tech product management software preferred
