Job Function: This position is responsible for oversight of a portfolio of programs, and the Division II Grant Program. The role will also be responsible for oversight of curriculum development measurement and guidelines for departmental programming and facilitation. The position will oversee the departmental design of programming specific leadership development education and outreach efforts.

 Job Responsibilities   

  • Serve as program administrator and lead all development and execution processes for a program portfolio that includes educational, career and professional development programming for adult learners in intercollegiate athletics, student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Utilize multiple modalities for curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation.
  • Develop strategy for education and outreach programming and initiatives for the NCAA membership that includes the creation of curriculum and facilitation development.
  • Oversight of the measurement and evaluation of leadership development programs and initiatives.
  • Identify and develop facilitators to assist with educational programming.
  • Lead and manage Division II National Grant Program.
  • Oversight and supervision of assigned consultants and subject matter experts, with emphasis on regular communication, conducting one-on-one meetings and providing performance feedback.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of leadership programs and initiatives at NCAA member institutions, conference offices, and affiliate groups.
  • Participate in internal and external cross-functional and collaborative opportunities as applicable.
  • Maintain a knowledge of industry trends, concepts, and techniques for delivering high quality developmental experiences to diverse audiences.
  • Serve as liaison for membership organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements     

  • Education Required: Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-years professional experience providing education and training to adult learners.
  • Experience in the development and execution of career and talent development education for adult learners.
  • Knowledge and use of learning theory models such as ADDIE, Bloom’s Learning Taxonomy, Andragogy and Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Training Evaluations.
  • Ability to objectively analyze and evaluate processes, procedures, and situations beyond current practices to innovate practices and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in small and large group facilitation, both in-person and virtually.
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple projects with various stakeholder groups.
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects.
  • Knowledge of managing budgets.
  • Understanding of the NCAA structure and function.
  • Estimated Travel Required: <50%
  • This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.

Experience

Required
  • Experience in small and large group facilitation, both in-person and virtually.
  • Experience using learning theory models such as ADDIE, Bloom’s Learning Taxonomy, Andragogy and Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Training Evaluations.
  • 5 year(s): Professional experience providing education and training to adult learners.
