SUMMARY
JMI Sports is seeking high-performing sales professionals to join the UCLA Athletics and Rose Bowl Partnerships team. Ideal candidates will bring a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to sponsorship sales, with a proven track record of securing multiyear, high-value partnerships with local, regional, and/or national brands. Reporting directly to the Vice President, New Partnerships, these individuals must have experience developing and selling customized, integrated corporate partnership campaigns, along with radio, print, and digital media. Must also have a proven ability to solve marketing problems, develop and present creative proposals to clients, and achieve client revenue and company sales goals. Sales experience within a sports and/or university environment preferred. Must be extremely comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This full-time position is located on or near the UCLA campus in Westwood, CA, with occasional local and regional travel. This job is not eligible for work-from-home or remote work options.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve annual revenue goals by successfully securing new corporate marketing partnerships
- Collaborate with property stakeholders and company leadership on priorities and approach to the market
- Research and identify new prospects and partners for targeted events and programs
- Maintain relationships with brand decision makers and affiliated agencies by leveraging relationships, networking, and implementing targeted outreach
- Ideate, develop, and pitch strategic marketing platforms for new prospects
- Engage in consultative sales strategies that focus on objective-based programming and exceed the needs of the client
- Secure and conduct face-to-face sales meetings by leveraging relationships as well as conducting market outreach
- Negotiate and close sponsorship deals and work with management through contract execution
- Maintain detailed CRM records of sponsorship sales and contract related activities
- Collaborate with property staff, sponsors, vendors, and appropriate university personnel to ensure excellent implementation of sponsorship and full contract fulfillment
- Participate in gameday events to support activation, host prospects, and highlight the collegiate sports experience
- Support hospitality events and initiatives to deliver on a “surrounding the client” approach to team collaboration
- Consistently demonstrate a commitment to overall property success
- Demonstrate best-practices as directed by Company leadership to achieve exceptional results in-line with Company’s partner-centric mission

QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience in sports marketing and/or sales, or a related field
- Interest in and working understanding of collegiate athletics, corporate partnerships, and media-driven platform sales
- Experience successfully implementing consultative sales techniques
- Excellence in pitching, negotiating, and closing advertising or sponsorship deals
- Proven success creating conceptual proposals that meet and exceed potential partners’ needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Organized, self-motivated and curious
- Thorough research and analytical skills including the ability to synthesize findings into actionable plans
- Strength in time management and effective multi-tasking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Applicants with experience using a comprehensive CRM system, particularly KORE, are preferred
